NZXT H500 Overwatch Special Edition released
The new NZXT tower case released by NZXT is a standard NZXT H500 case sporting an Overwatch theme. NZXT has called this case the H500 Overwatch Edition mid-tower case.
NZXT is known to periodically release tower cases with various branding partnerships. We’ve seen Razer branded tower cases, PUBG themed cases, Fallout 4 cases and now we have an Overwatch branded tower case.
This case has the usual features you’d see on a regular H500 mid-tower case.

The NZXT H500 Overwatch Special Edition is clearly aimed at Overwatch fans or competitive gamers who play Overwatch competitively. It features an Overwatch logo on the front panel, which lights up when the PC is on. On the side panel, we can see more Overwatch branding.
Apart from the branding changes, you can find NZXT’s usual proprietary cable management system, a removable bracket which allows for the installation of various cooling systems and a tempered glass side panel, which are also found on the regular NZXT H500.
The NZXT H500 Overwatch Edition vs. the regular NZXT H500
There isn’t muct difference between the standard NZXT H500 case and the NZXT H500 Overwatch Special Edition case. Both cases feature the same features, including the same cable management solutions and the same clear side panel.
In fact, the two cases can only be differentiated by the different branding: one features the Overwatch branding, while the other features the NZXT branding.
In terms of price, the NZXT H500 Overwatch Special Edition mid-tower case comes in at $150, while you can have the regular NZXT H500 for around $70.
The lack of innovation in the NZXT H500 Overwatch Special Edition mid-tower case makes it hard to recommend over the regular one. You might be better off getting the NZXT H500i, which is still cheaper than the NZXT H500 Overwatch Special Edition, coming in at around $99.
We understand that the Overwatch licensing added to the price quite a bit, but it is hard to justify double the price for the same exact product with the addition of some branding.
However, if you’re an Overwatch fan, or you play Overwatch professionally and would like to express your Overwatch love, then this might by the case for you. For all other folks out there, you can give this one a miss.
